The mother of Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen Naib Ameer Abdul Shakoor Azad passed away on Wednesday morning after a brief illness, party statement issued here said. She was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
The statement said the Gaayibaana Namaz-e-Janaza (funeral prayers in absentia) of the deceased will be offered on January 19 (Friday) at Paajigra Shuwaai Jamia Masjid and Jamia Mohammadia Upper Chhatar in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan-administered Kashmir,a t 01:30 pm.
The Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen Ameer and United Jihad Council Secretary General Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman, Commander Abu Hamza, Farooq Ahmad Salafi, Mohammad Shafi Salafi and others have paid glowing tributes to the deceased and prayed for patience to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
“They also hailed the deceased would always be remembered for her contribution to the freedom movement and her love and affection towards the freedom loving people,” the statement said.
